Teachers, parents, and students will find lessons, tips, and current information regarding the path to and through post-secondary education in the College GP$ curriculum.

These resources are a small sampling of the variety of resources available from leading personal finance literacy organizations. The resources are divided into six major categories established by the Jump$tart Coalition.

These fun, interactive games may be used to reinforce the knowledge and skills learned in the College GP$: Goals, Problems, and $olutions curriculum.

Upcoming Professional Development

This course will be a hybrid class that will meet 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., June 1-4, 2015, face-to-face on campus followed by your attendance at the Tennessee Jump$tart Coalition Personal Financial Education Teacher Conference at the Park Vista Hotel, Gatlinburg, Tennessee,  June 10-12. During the Jump$tart Conference, we will meet at least once to reflect upon the information learned and relate it to how you will be able to use it in the classroom to teach Personal Finance. All other work, including your final exam, will be completed online.

The two-day workshop will provide secondary educators and college pre-service (student) teachers with the employment requirement for teaching the required Tennessee high school personal finance course. The session will allow educators to expand their knowledge of personal finance concepts and provide them with curriculum and supplemental teaching tools for use in the classroom. Concepts covered will focus on the new personal finance course standards. Participants must attend both days to receive the employment requirement to teach the high school personal finance course.
